You’re Not Alone. You Can Connect More Easily Than Ever Before With Virtual Therapy.

Our world is digitally connected to the extreme but we are more spiritually, emotionally, and physically disconnected than ever before. Life is becoming more difficult, and for many, the feeling of deep isolation or the inability to cope is overwhelming. We need physical and emotional connections with people, nature, and our inner warrior to thrive. So where do you turn to overcome anxiety, loneliness, and depression and find inner peace? Where do you begin? You’ve just taken the first step by being here!

As a seasoned psychologist, through personalized virtual therapy, I can help you heal as we walk the journey together. My promise to you is to share meaningful, inspiring, empowering, and spiritual counseling tailored to you and your needs. Psychology for better living isn’t about traditional clinical protocol but mending spirit and providing useful tools to sustain a better life. Even though sessions are “virtual” we will still connect in a real way and you will learn to reconnect with those around you, physically and emotionally. Are you ready to grow?

Psychology, which originates from the Greek words: “psyche” and “logía,” is the study of the soul. It is more than simply a ‘clinical’ cause-and-effect practice — it is truly one of humanness.  My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and straightforward, and forgiveness is always part of our journey. I will help you see that all the answers you seek are within yourself. You will learn to identify and maintain your natural ability to heal through Psychology for Better Living!

Virtual Therapy

Virtual therapy and psychology sessions are very private, held in the comfort of your safe place or home. Telehealth is an amazing technology that opens the lines of communication between us, no matter where you live in one of the PSCYPACT-approved states, as we make a true connection. With me as your virtual therapist and counselor, you will gain insight into your life’s journey in a straightforward way as you learn to take responsibility for your life and goals.

How to Get Started with Virtual Counseling

When you book your initial consultation, we will both get a sense of whether we are a good fit and if I can help you. There is no contract or a set number of sessions you must attend. This is about you healing and becoming empowered to live a life you enjoy.

  • Virtual sessions are each 50 minutes and by appointment only.
  • Initial consultation: $175 to reserve your time and hold the appointment.
  • Therapy sessions without insurance, cash-paying: $175 per session.
  • You are responsible for learning your insurance policy coverage and submissions.
  • I accept what insurance pays; there are no extra fees.
  • Ensure you’re located in one of the PSYPACT-approved states (see above).
  • 24-hour cancellation notice is required or you will be charged the full amount of the session.

If you are interested in an initial evaluation, please fill out the form to join the waitlist, and I will get back to you very soon. I look forward to meeting you!

My professional and personal relationships are key factors in helping maintain my focus on quality and compassion. My diverse background, advanced education, and professional and personal experiences allow me to instill hope, practical solutions and navigational life skills to my patients.

About Dr. Theresa Rose Bajt

For three decades as a counseling psychologist in private practice, I have helped people just like you navigate adult disorders including childhood trauma, parent alienation, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, manic depression, grief, ADHD/ADD, divorce and separation, and career strategy. I also help those who feel lost, depressed, and like they can’t cope anymore.

What makes my style unique and impactful is that I not only focus on the traditional counseling model, I tap into the spiritual and emotional aspects of what makes us human and allows us to create lasting change. I have also lived on both coasts, in cities and in rural America, including the Midwest where I currently reside, and understand the cultural and economic diversity that each region brings and the challenges of daily life in those areas.

Credentials

Now, for my credentials. I received my first Master’s degree from Montana State University, then my second Master’s degree, an M.Ed. Counseling and Consulting Psychology, from Harvard University, and finally a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Maryland.

Awards

Throughout my career, I have received several awards, including the one I am most proud of, the Impact Award. This is granted to one woman each year who makes a significant artistic or scientific contribution that changes the lives of or improves the psychological welfare of children.

Most recently, I was voted a 2023 Top Woman in Medicine by the organization Find A Top Doc. The top women in medicine are nominated by medical professionals, colleagues, and patients. A panel of medical experts and editors selects the winners focusing on education and professional accomplishments.

Most recently, I qualified for the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology, which is a hard-earned privilege after 30 years of private practice.

Published Works

I have co-authored several published papers, including the New York Times article, ‘When Laws And Values Conflict: A Dilemma For Psychologists’, and ‘Therapist-Patient Sexual Intimacy Involving Children And Adolescents.’ My research has also been cited across the USA and internationally.

Personal Experience

On a non-academic level, I’ve had varied life experiences, such as being crowned Miss Montana, attending some of the best colleges and Universities in America, starting a psychology practice in my 30s, and getting licensed in three separate states as my husband was a corporate climber.

I credit earlier personal achievements and painful family challenges, including the loss of my husband of 30 years in 2015 to a cancer battle and raising two young men with whom I have loving relationships, for helping me excel in patient relationships. Remaining connected to family and friends has also provided life lessons that help me help others more deeply. I gain strength from my relationships, hobbies, being in nature, and helping people heal.
